Loan Repayment Calculator

Description

This calculator helps you work out what your regular loan repayments will be, based on your loan amount, interest rate and term. It calculates both principal and interest repayments, and lets you switch the repayment frequency between monthly, fortnightly and weekly.

Assumptions

• Only ongoing loan fees are included — upfront and discharge fees are not accounted for. The fee's annual total is spread evenly across each repayment and included in the repayment figure shown.
• The interest rate is assumed fixed for the entire loan term.
• Interest compounds at the same frequency as the selected repayment frequency.
• A year is treated as 12 months, 26 fortnights or 52 weeks.
• Results are estimates and are rounded to the nearest cent for display only.
